Tracking the Seasons Through Flowers

Sunlight comes through trees behind Bloom Sacramento flower bed

It’s a beautiful spring day in Sacramento today, just in time for Earth Day — but I hope your appreciation for our environment will extend beyond April 22! I get reminders of how special our planet is every time a new flower blooms throughout the year, and that’s why I want to talk a bit about another one of the five reasons our subscriptions just make sense: You get a personal view of what’s in season with every delivery.

So many flowers to enjoy

A few weeks ago we were swimming in all kinds of tulips, and right now we are swooning over beautiful, local peonies. Soon enough we’ll be able to appreciate bold sunflowers and more. It’s really amazing how the same planter box or bed can create so many different kinds of flowers throughout the year, and our subscriptions will let you experience all of that beauty without shoveling dirt or doling out fertilizer.

An Earth-loving community

When you get flowers from us, you’re supporting a passionate group of farmers in the region who put their whole lives into creating beauty through flowers. I hope you all can feel as connected to them as I do, because you help to make their businesses work!

A minimal impact

That local community of flower farmers is also so important because that’s the most environmentally friendly way to enjoy flowers. When you get a subscription from us, nothing in your bouquets needs to be flown thousands of miles to end up on your table, and everything in your delivery can be composted or recycled. What better way to say thank you to the environment?

Thanks for reading! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather and doing something kind for the Earth today!
